ByGuides WriterAdditional contributions byAll the Destiny 2 Legendary Mods that you can find within the game are bound to help your character increase their Power level, no matter which stage you're at in the game. In this Destiny 2 Mods guide, we'll be walking you through all the best Destiny 2 Mods, for both your weapons and armor. Destiny 2 Legendary ModsFirstly, you'll need to know how to get your hands on Legendary mods in Destiny 2, before we actually delve into which are the best ones in the game. You'll need to go to Banshee-44 in the Traveler social hub, but to get to this endgame social hub you'll need to have beaten the campaign of Destiny 2. Banshee-44 is back in Destiny 2, and he's as moody as ever.Once you're in the brand new social hub, you'll be able to access the inventory of Banshee-44, including his Legendary Mods. But, there's a catch here, as Banshee will only sell you Legendary mods if you're at least Power level 280.
For more info on how to increase your Power level as quickly as possible, head over to our complete. Destiny 2 Best Legendary ModsBut why are we focusing on the Legendary mods specifically, over the Rare counterparts? Well, although both Rare and Legendary mods provide bonuses to your Mobility, Resiliance, and Recovery stats, only the Legendary mods increase the overall rating of the piece of gear that you equip them to. This means that Legendary mods will increase the overall Power level of your character, whereas Rare mods won't.As you can see in the video just below covering Legendary mods, you actually can stack mod ability bonuses on top of one another. This means that you can have three mods equipped for three different pieces of gear, that will all, for example, decrease the amount of time it takes for your grenade to recharge. With weapon mods, you always want to make sure they give your weapon an elemental attack, and it'd be best to have a range of Arc, Solar, and Void mods equipped for weapons in each of your three slots.
This works wonders for when you come up against an enemy that is weak to a certain type of elemental damage, as you can simply switch to whichever weapon has that elemental Legendary mod equipped to it.As for the armor mods, you generally want to try and focus on balancing out your Mobility, Resiliance, and Recovery stats for your character. Having Legendary mods that boost any of these stats is always a good idea, as it ultimately leads to a character that is well rounded and excellent in any situation.Aside from this, you'll also want to keep an eye out for armor mods that can boost the handling or reload speeds of any of your equipped weapons. For example, you might have an auto rifle in your energy weapon slot that you love to use in the Crucible, but can be a bit inaccurate and unstable when firing. An armor mod that increases the stability or handling of your equipped energy weapon is therefore going to work wonders for this auto rifle. If you want to see a comprehensive list of the all the most powerful, Exotic weapons and armor pieces that Destiny 2 has to offer you, then head on over to our, where you can find all the items in the game that will undoubtedly enhance your Power level. We've got guides on,.
Share on:Destiny 2 players can use mods to up their game. But which ones are worth keeping, and which ones should you dismantle for parts and try again? As the in our notes, mods are an important part of late game growth. Getting hold of the rare +5 Attack and Defence mods, either in random drops or by the crafting facility available at Power 280 and up, is essential if you want to keep pushing without waiting on weekly Milestones. But there are heaps of mods in Destiny 2 beyond the +5 Attack and Defence mods, and once you do have a full set of Power cap endgame gear you’ll want to swap out those Power boosting mods for something more useful. Which ones are worth holding onto, and which can you safely dismantle?Arekkz has done some serious testing on mods to see how they actually affect your performance in Destiny 2. The video below explains his methodology and goes through his results, or you can read our full write-up below.
Grenade, melee and class ability cooldown modsTurns out there’s no difference at all between the Rare and Legendary ability cooldown mods, which is surprising and a bit perplexing. Regardless of whether you pop a blue or a purple ability cooldown mod in, you’ll get the same result.
Remove avast signature email. Spore mods download. So except for those +5 Power mods, which are only available in Legendary form, feel free to harvest all your Legendary mods for components. The good news is these mods actually stack, so if you kit yourself out with more than one you can experience more profound effects. It seems that not all mods are available for every type of armour though, so you can’t, for example, put grenades on everything.Additionally, you get diminishing returns by stacking mods.
Arekkz found that one grenade mod reduced his cooldown by 8 seconds, while two reduced it by 14 – not 16. Testing this again with three class ability mods, he saw a similar pattern. In terms of raw numbers, you’ll see better results by mixing up ability mods.
It means that you can hold off from using Faction vendors where possible, relying on easier-to-find regular blue gear drops as you make the road to the 265 soft cap, then coming back to it when you need a quick boost. It's worth noting Legendary Engrams and Faction Rewards have a cap. From around 265/270 onwards you will outpace them and have to rely on 'Powerful Gear' Engrams instead. These have the same properties as Faction Engrams - they will scale with you as you play, so feel free to wait until as late as possible before collecting them.If you're wondering which activities drop these high level 'Powerful Gear' Engrams, our has the details. The same also applies from quest-specific rewards from Vendors, such as those from quests. So if you are doing the quest, you can hold off from receiving the beginning Mida Mini-Tool that kicks it off until it's at a higher level, if you so choose. These also scale all the way to the max level cap.Other things to know about Engram decryption:. Rare Engrams (blue) will automatically decrypt when you collect them - no need to go to the Cryptarch. This means until you complete the story, you'll very rarely need to visit a social space to pop open gear.
Again, Legendary Engrams - whether dropped from the field or from non Raid and Trials vendors, such as most of those in social spaces and on planets - will be capped at around 270. Exotic Engrams, however, will scale with you until the hard cap of 350.
Bright Engrams aren't opened at the Cryptarch, but at cosmetics vendor Tyra Karn. I guess the idea is if you didn't like your free cosmetic drops, the ability to buy more with premium currency Silver is right there.
One Exotic weapon quest - the quest - requires you to open Legendary and Exotic Engrams at a certain point. Since Engrams are at a fixed level we wouldn't recommend holding onto them for this quest, but if you are one or two steps away from getting there, it's something to keep in mind. Otherwise, Faction Engrams also fulfil these requirements. How to Infuse weapons in Destiny 2Infusing is the act of increasing the Power level of one piece of gear (weapon or armour) by 'consuming' it from a higher piece of the same type. This allows you to ensure you favourite pieces - such as the Crucible favourite Mida Multi-tool or Raid damage dealer Merciless - can keep up the pace with your gear levelling elsewhere. To Infuse, hover over your piece of Gear and press Preview (Triangle or the Y button) then select the left-most option in the Armor Mods selection. Once you hit 280, you can easily acquire Legendary Mods from Banshee-44 to increase the Legendary gear you own if they don't already have a Legendary Mod attached. As of, you'll be able to purchase specific Mods direct from Banshee-44 with Glimmer and spending Mod Components (from dismantling Legendary Mods). This selection rotates regularly, so come back if the Mod you are looking for isn't there. If you cannot wait for a store update, has a possible solution - breaking down two Legendary Mods and using the resources you get to trade for a random Attack Mod - which has a chance of being Kinetic.)Until that point, it's worth keeping as much Legendary gear with Mods in as possible.

Then, if you get a higher level drop and it doesn't have a Mod installed, and you're not fussed about keeping it, then you can infuse that into a lower Power level piece of Gear with a Mod and get some easy levels out of it.It's all part of that endgame grind as you make your slow way to the - the prior link explains more about the activities and means required to slowly get you there once you get past the 265 soft cap. This is not a complete list, please help by adding ones you have that I'm missing. I'm hoping we can get this close to complete like we all did for my thread. Please, let me know of any and all ones I'm missing. Pictures of them would be great (blue or purple mods, don't need both), but just telling me of ones, so long as you're 100% sure, will be a great help. Sorted by effect too, because I like to know what I'm going to get.
